The gorgeous Tilda

Hiya

I'm sorry i've not been around much lately. Mum's been quite ill with her MS, and i've had a cold which has taken all of my energy, so there's not been much crafty time. This cards taken since Wednesday to make lol. Well... i coloured the image on Wednesday, Made the flowers on Thursday and then made the card today :D

Anyways... The easel's made with nesties (again!), Cuttlebug embossing folders, lots and lots of Dusty Concord distress ink, Tilda coloured with distress inks and glittered, computer generated sentiment, x-cut punched flowers, big flowers made like in my tut and sprayed with gold glimmer mists, charm from stash, lots of glitter glue, faux stitching and gems, et voila!

Hiya

Todays card is using my gorgeous new Tilda stamp which I bought on Sunday. I've never bought a character stamp before, as they seemed too expensive, but she's worth every penny! I NEED more!!! :D

The card is made using nesties, cuttlebug embossinging folders, handcut heart, computer generated sentiment, antique linen and walnut stain distress inks and lots of handstitching, pearls and glitterglue.

I've coloured Tilda with distress inks:

Skin - tattered rose, antique linen and walnut stain

Hair - Antique linen and walnut stain

Dress, shoes and bow - Antique linen and walnut stain

Rose - Walnut stain

Lexi's Creations DT

Well, i'm back at school today, so i'm hoping this will have magically posted its self while i'm out. These are my dt cards for the Lexi's creations challenge, which this time is a recipe - 3 papers, 2 embelishments, and 1 image, and is sponsered by The Stamping Boutique.
The first card is using one of Lexi's gorgeous images... Aloria (from here), which is coloured with distress inks-tattered rose and walnut stain. The papers are from the paper cellar, prima flowers and computer generated sentiment. Everything is inked with walnut stain distress ink, and finished with lots of faux stitching and pearls.

Mami Doodles DT

Hiya

I'm sooooo sorry I never got round to posting my Mami Doodles DT project. There's no excuse I know, I just totally forgot. Sorry Elisa.

I made a milk carton type box, using the gorgeous 'Midori' from Mami doodles, which you can buy here. This is what Elisa has said about her:

"Midori is one of my favourite names, it means "Green" in Japanese. This girl likes to dress up, so I have her in 3 different outfits, and also a template for paper piecing or cutting. Print the girl undressed and colour it. Then use the template to make the dress in patterned paper. It is a great way to use paper scraps, specially one with small patterns."

More Exciting News!! YIPPEEEEE

Hey!

I've got some more exciting new for you :) A couple of weeks ago, the lovely and amazingly talented Elisa from Mami Doodles emailed me, to asked if i'd like to be a part of her fab design team! Erm...yeah! Of course I said yes straight away! I can't wait to work with her images, which are available here. I will be back later in the week with my first dt project :)

Now i've got a card to show you. People keep coming to me and asking for cards, and I never have any ready, so i'm starting to fill my box up again with simplish cards. I've stopped doing orders for a while until i've finished my exams (aagh), but am going to have a box of ready made ones that people can look through and buy from. That way I can carry on giving to the charities, which makes me happy :)

Anyways...i've used my gorgeous new prima flowers, that i got in my prize, nesties, prima stamp, computer generated sentiment, cuttlebug embosssing folder, broken china distress inks, pearl brads, lace and pearls.

Hi again :)

Here's my entry for the new Sir Stampalot challenge, which, is 'fantasy'. The base is the back of an old sketch book, painted with metalic acrylic paints, and then stamped with bubble wrap. The text is printed onto white tissue paper and glued on, then the whole background is covered with Anitas 3D gloss. The fairy is drawn on watercolour paper, coloured with distress inks, paper pieced with Paper Cellar papers and covered with 3D gloss. She has no hands or feet and demented eyes, but hey! It adds to the character! (my excuse anyway, lol)

I'm also entering it in the Crafty Creations challenge, which is 'paper piecing'

A little bit of this and a little bit of that...

Hi everyone

Sorry i've not been around for the last couple of days...just not had much to show really! Todays post is a few different bits and bobs, but I should be back later with another project which is almost finished.

On Thursday I went crafty shopping, and bought a little block of white fimo clay to have a play with, and this is what i've come up with so far. To give you an idea of size, the burger and the doughnut are the same size a 5p coin, and the hotdog is 2cm long. I modelled them in white and then painted them with acrylic paint, but next time I think i'll colour the clay before modelling... it's a bit fiddly!

The next thing i've got to show you is my prize from winning the Passion For Promarkers challenge (yippeee!!!) with my spring wall hanger. I won a voucher to spend at Angel Crafts, and this is what I chose, and it didn't cost me a penny! :)

3 packs of flowers, 'happy birthday' round sentiment stamp, and a cute little butterfly stamp

Well i've wanted to try one of these shaped easel cards for ages since seeing all of Debbie's amazing ones, and then yesterday I was looking at a gorgeous one that Sally had made, so I went and gave it a go!
I used my nesties, paper cellar papers, distress inks-walnut stain and antique linen, prima swirl stamp, flowers made like in my tut (from plain printer paper inked with tattered rose and antique linen), computer generated sentiment, and everything else from stash.

Exciting News!!! :D

Hey!
I've got some exciting news for you today :) I think it's safe to say as it's been announced, that i've been picked as a DT member on the Lexi's Creations challenge blog... yippeee!!! I don't normally enter dt calls, but I do love this challenge, so i thought i'd just go for it :) Lexi emailed me last week and asked if I could make a project for the challenge starting today, which is Altered Art, so here it is. It hasn't been put on the challenge blog for some reason, but I wanted to show it anyway.
I altered a photo frame into a memo board type thingy, which i'm going to give to either my mum or my sister. Here is a semi-before picture of the photo frame...

I said semi-before, because it actually started of as plain wood, but I had already painted it white before I thought about taking a before picture... haha.

I painted the frame with white emulsion paint, then found some bits of wood out in the garage, cut them to size and fixed them to the frame to make divisions. Next I gave the whole thing another couple of coats of white paint, inked with Broken China, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks, then painted over with PVA glue, which moved the colours about to give a cool effect. Then I stamped the front and the outside edges of the frame with my Prima swirl stamp, and flowers on the divisions with Broken China DI. For the main whiteboard (wipeable), I printed one of Lexi's images (star dust butterfly), coloured with promarkers, glitter glued, then laminated and stuck onto the back of the frame. In the top, smaller section, is a laminated photo of me and my sister. And in the bottom one I backed it with papermania paper, inked with DI and attached some little hooks that can be used for keys or other little hangy things. Then i tacked the back on with panel pins, and finished it off with a flower made like in my tut, a sizzix butterfly, gems, and pearls.

Well i managed to make a couple of little cards last night so i'm happy :)

I used 4x4 card blanks, a free colouring page image, coloured with promarkers, red and white cardstock, cuttlebug embossing folder, red ribbon and gems. The card on the left is waiting for a sentiment, but i can't find my stamps at the moment so i'll do it later.

Well, i'd love to say i'm here with some amazingly fantastic creation...BUT that isn't quite the case seems as i keep starting stuff and not finishing... woops!
