altered coaster

Hi everyone!

Todays craftyness is another random thing that just happened! I was sat on the sofa watching a film, and i always like something to fiddle with, so i started making the flowers. Then obviously they needed something to go on, so i found an old coaster and attacked it with acryclic paint, distress inks, bubble wra[ and a hole punch to make it into a hanger. I must have run up and downstairs about 10 times to get bits n bobs from my craft desk...not a good idea when you've got m.e... But it was fun! The letter is from an old game, painted, inked, stamped and glittered, and then i added ribbon, lace, punched butterflies and flowers, gems, pearls and more glitter! :)

I'm entering it in these challenges:

Allsorts - rags to riches

Simply Scrapable

Hi everyone
Sorry i've not been around too much lately. I've not been too well since the weekend, and any time i've been out of bed i've been doing coursework... boring!, but i'm feeling a bit better today so i've managed to do a little crafting....scrapping!
I'm making mum a scrapbook for her birthday in Summer, so I thought i'd better start practicing, instead of starting it and realising I have no idea what to do! This is an 8x8 page of me and my friends in the village panto a couple of years ago. I edited the photos, and designed most of the page (title and journaling) on the computer, then printed it out, layered the whole thing on black card, layered the photos on red, and added a punched butterfly, gems and doodling.

Oooo and i've won some yummy MME goodies on the Die Cuts R Us challenge blog..yippeeee :)

Milk Carton

Hi Bloggers!

Well I was planning on having a real crafty day today, finishing off a couple of orders and make some easter cards, but all i've made so far is this...

It's a gift box for one of my sisters friends, made to look like a milk carton. I made it following a tut here, but i don't have a score board so had to measure everthing out. I also changed the measurments because the ones in the tut are a bit too small for what i wanted.

I've used papermania capsule collection paper on both sides, and a printed sentiment lace, prima stamp, x-cut punched flowers, and gems on the front and back. I'm going to punch holes and tie the top with ribbon, but i'm waiting for the gift to put in it.

I'm entering it in:

Creative Belli - Sketch and clips

showing of me nesties!

Hiya
Well i'm back like I said, but it aint an easter card! I went up to my desk, but didn't feel like making them so made this instead. And.... I GOT NESTIES!!! Yippee! I bought them on Wednesday when I went to The Stampman, along with 2 more distress inks :) And I got to meet the lovely Debbie and have a little chat, but then i had to go :(
Anyways... here is my card! I printed the sentiment and then cut it with nesties, then made a frame with 2 different sizes, and stamped it with my lush prima swirl stamp. I don't know where the flowers came from, but i coloured them with black promarker to match the card. Then i finished it off with x-cut punched flowers and gems.
I'm entering it in these challenges:
Crazy Challenges - Simple and Elegant
Die Cuts R Us - One colour and white

the start of something new.....

Hey!

Today's project is the start of a new adventure! I've been wanting to start an art journal for a while now, but i never got round to it, and I didn't know what to do or where to start. But then I decided that its for me, and I can do what I want, so I found a pack of cheap sketch books in my cupboard, picked the size I wanted, and got going with acrylic paints, stamps and doodling, and it was so much fun!

I created texture with white acrylic paint, then painted over that with different colours and used painted bubble wrap to stamp the spots. Next i stamped the title and some flowers, wrote the quote and doodled with promarkers, and added glitter glue to some of the spots for that extra something.

I'm entering this into:

ABC challenge - Q is for quote

Creative Card Crew - Going dotty

Crafty Creations - Spots and dots

(sorry about the dark photo ^^^)

I'm going to use it for a little bit of everything... things i've been up to, things that inspire me, doodles etc. I'm not really sure yet to be honest!

I should be back later with some easter cards.

teddy

Hiya everybody
Over the past couple of days, i've been making this...
I was bored on saturday night, and for some strange reason i decided i wanted to make a teddy. And when i think of something i'm not happy till its done! So i went searching for some material, and found an old brown towel that was about to be cut up for rags, found a free template on the internet, and got cutting, sewing and getting VERY frustrated. He is made with the towel, stuffed with the towel, and then a few bits of felt for paw pads. The eyes are buttons, and i got annoyed trying to stitch a nose, so drew it on with a pemanent marker!

He looks a bit odd but i like him :)

distressed box

Hi Bloggers

I've been having another play with my fab distress inks and this is what i've come up with. I was given some papermania bare basics boxes, so i thought i'd see how the inks work on them because they are brown, but it seems ok i think. The inks used are - peeled paint, broken china and walnut stain, then stamped with prima swirl and flower stamps, embossed a few times with a mix of clear and sparkly embossing powder. Lots of green tara flowers, attacked with distress inks, clear embossing powder and green flock and X-cut punched butterflies covered with glitter glue.

I've taken piccies from different angles because it looks different every way you look.
