showing of me nesties!

Hiya
Well i'm back like I said, but it aint an easter card! I went up to my desk, but didn't feel like making them so made this instead. And.... I GOT NESTIES!!! Yippee! I bought them on Wednesday when I went to The Stampman, along with 2 more distress inks :) And I got to meet the lovely Debbie and have a little chat, but then i had to go :(
Anyways... here is my card! I printed the sentiment and then cut it with nesties, then made a frame with 2 different sizes, and stamped it with my lush prima swirl stamp. I don't know where the flowers came from, but i coloured them with black promarker to match the card. Then i finished it off with x-cut punched flowers and gems.

the start of something new.....

Hey!

Today's project is the start of a new adventure! I've been wanting to start an art journal for a while now, but i never got round to it, and I didn't know what to do or where to start. But then I decided that its for me, and I can do what I want, so I found a pack of cheap sketch books in my cupboard, picked the size I wanted, and got going with acrylic paints, stamps and doodling, and it was so much fun!

I created texture with white acrylic paint, then painted over that with different colours and used painted bubble wrap to stamp the spots. Next i stamped the title and some flowers, wrote the quote and doodled with promarkers, and added glitter glue to some of the spots for that extra something.

I'm entering this into:

ABC challenge - Q is for quote

Creative Card Crew - Going dotty

Crafty Creations - Spots and dots

(sorry about the dark photo ^^^)

I'm going to use it for a little bit of everything... things i've been up to, things that inspire me, doodles etc. I'm not really sure yet to be honest!

I should be back later with some easter cards.

teddy

Hiya everybody
Over the past couple of days, i've been making this...
I was bored on saturday night, and for some strange reason i decided i wanted to make a teddy. And when i think of something i'm not happy till its done! So i went searching for some material, and found an old brown towel that was about to be cut up for rags, found a free template on the internet, and got cutting, sewing and getting VERY frustrated. He is made with the towel, stuffed with the towel, and then a few bits of felt for paw pads. The eyes are buttons, and i got annoyed trying to stitch a nose, so drew it on with a pemanent marker!

He looks a bit odd but i like him :)

distressed box

Hi Bloggers

I've been having another play with my fab distress inks and this is what i've come up with. I was given some papermania bare basics boxes, so i thought i'd see how the inks work on them because they are brown, but it seems ok i think. The inks used are - peeled paint, broken china and walnut stain, then stamped with prima swirl and flower stamps, embossed a few times with a mix of clear and sparkly embossing powder. Lots of green tara flowers, attacked with distress inks, clear embossing powder and green flock and X-cut punched butterflies covered with glitter glue.

I've taken piccies from different angles because it looks different every way you look.

Sring is on its way...

Hey bloggers
I've had a happy day today for some reason, so todays card isn't quite as dark and dingy as normal :) Mum took me to the craft shop this afternoon to buy some card blanks (she's got her liscence back..yey!), and she treated me to a couple of things as i've run out of money... hehehe. I got one of the new x-cut border punches, which is FAB (and cheap) and a couple of other bits. And then when i got home i had 3 emails for orders, so i should have some money for the magnolia ink mag that Katy put behind the desk for me... yippeeee! Can you tell i'm happy??? lol
Anyway todays card is for the pink elephant and cute card thursay challenges, which are both to include green.
Made using:
Image sent by a docrafter, coloured with promarkers
MME papers
x-cut butterfly and retro flower punches
big flower sent by a docrafter
Computer generated sentiment
Everything else from stash
Distress inks and doodling... as always!
